We are delighted to announce that we will be increasing our fulfilment service presence in mainland Europe by launching our first German fulfilment centre, situated in Leipzig. This follows on from European launches in Eindhoven, The Netherlands and Madrid, Spain over the past year.
The German eCommerce market is the biggest in Europe, with 99.1bn Euro online sales revenue for the full year 2021, an increase from 83.3bn Euro in 2020.
This new warehouse marks the next step in our international expansion plans, as we establish new fulfilment centres across Europe; providing our clients with access to markets in Germany, Eastern Europe and beyond…
By accessing one of Europe’s most established eCommerce markets, our fulfilment centre can provide the perfect platform for businesses to grow…
eCommerce in Germany has long been established as the biggest in Europe, with forecast online sales revenue of 104.8bn Euros this year, according to eCommerce association www.bevh.org. The market has also been outpacing other markets in Europe in terms of growth, including the UK, Spain and France.
The most popular products sold online are clothing, electronics and gadgets (such as mobile phones, ear buds and more), and homeware.
Our research into the market highlights that consumers value sustainable fulfilment methods such as eco-friendly packaging and paper-free picking, a complete returns solution and swift transactions.
Marketplaces such as Otto are popular with the German market, and should definitely be considered by eCommerce sellers looking to grow in Germany.
By setting up a fulfilment centre in Germany, our clients will enjoy direct access to this attractive and growing market, plus a channel into Eastern Europe and further afield.
For our arrival in Leipzig, we have appointed a specialist team to manage the launch. The next steps are to hire a team of eCommerce experts and warehouse operatives to look after clients, as we gear up to becoming fully operational.

which led to more than 100 new jobs for the region.
