Meet Ariadni Zotou – Huboo’s Talent Acquisition Coordinator in the Netherlands

Ariadni- TA, Huboo

What is a typical working day at Huboo like for you?

The first thing I do every morning is, of course, have a cup of coffee and catch up with some colleagues before starting work. After that, I check on the previous day’s applications from candidates we have received. My duties for the rest of the day depend on what’s required at that time. I might have phone screens, coordination with different stakeholders, or prepare for publishing a new position. Life at Huboo can be very different from day to day since we’re growing quickly across Europe.

What did you do before working at Huboo?

Before I started at Huboo I was completing a Masters in Work and Organisational Psychology, which focused on employee wellbeing and how human factors influence different processes within an organisation, such as training, recruitment, performance, etc… During this time I was also undertaking an internship in Talent Acquisition at a logistics company.

Ariadni Zotou- TA Huboo

What attracted you to working for Huboo?

What attracted me to Huboo is that it’s a people-focused company, and considering my background, employee wellbeing is really important to me. Additionally, I wanted to find a role with a positive working environment within a culture where employees support each other, which makes me look forward to going to work every day. Huboo has definitely met and exceeded my expectations.

Outside of work, what are your passions?

In my free time, I like to watch movies, and read. I also enjoy cooking and baking, which the people close to me also love, and in the past few years, I’ve gotten into dancing. Whenever I’m back in my home-country, Greece, I’m always excited to swim.

My biggest passion is caring for dogs, but unfortunately I don’t own any at the moment.

What skills do you need to be a great Talent acquisition coordinator?

To be a great TA coordinator you need to be a good listener and have strong communication skills, especially when we talk with our different stakeholders. It’s also important to be good at multitasking, as we frequently work on multiple positions for different countries simultaneously.

What’s your favourite movie and why?

If I had to choose just one movie, it would be Dirty Dancing. It reminds me of past – possibly simpler – times and is combined with my love of dancing. If we talk about a movie series, then the Harry Potter franchise most definitely has my heart.

What advice would you give someone who is considering working at Huboo?

It’s a really fun environment where you’ll be surrounded by supportive people who are passionate about their contribution to our rapid growth. One piece of advice I would give is to be sure that working in a fast-paced environment is the right atmosphere for you, because things can move quickly here as we grow across Europe.
