Dive into the dynamic world of Huboo through the eyes of Ariadni Zotou, our dedicated Talent Acquisition Coordinator in the Netherlands. Discover her journey, passion for employee wellbeing, and the fast-paced, supportive environment at Huboo
The first thing I do every morning is, of course, have a cup of coffee and catch up with some colleagues before starting work. After that, I check on the previous day’s applications from candidates we have received. My duties for the rest of the day depend on what’s required at that time. I might have phone screens, coordination with different stakeholders, or prepare for publishing a new position. Life at Huboo can be very different from day to day since we’re growing quickly across Europe.
Before I started at Huboo I was completing a Masters in Work and Organisational Psychology, which focused on employee wellbeing and how human factors influence different processes within an organisation, such as training, recruitment, performance, etc… During this time I was also undertaking an internship in Talent Acquisition at a logistics company.
To be a great TA coordinator you need to be a good listener and have strong communication skills, especially when we talk with our different stakeholders. It’s also important to be good at multitasking, as we frequently work on multiple positions for different countries simultaneously.
If I had to choose just one movie, it would be Dirty Dancing. It reminds me of past – possibly simpler – times and is combined with my love of dancing. If we talk about a movie series, then the Harry Potter franchise most definitely has my heart.
It’s a really fun environment where you’ll be surrounded by supportive people who are passionate about their contribution to our rapid growth. One piece of advice I would give is to be sure that working in a fast-paced environment is the right atmosphere for you, because things can move quickly here as we grow across Europe.
